Durango-La Plata County Airport
  
CSW completed a multi-phase airport expansion and rehabilitation project for the Durango-La Plata County Airport in Colorado. Work was completed under two separate contracts:
  • Schedule I - construct partial overlap Runway 3 and Taxiway A7 with safety area grading, recosntruction of Taxiway A, fog seal and paint Runway 3/21, paint all taxiways, and reconstruct general aviation ramp from Station 51+30 to Station 58+69.
  • Schedule II - construct parallel Taxiway A extension and reconstruction of Taxiway Connector A8, and rehabilitate the general aviation ramp from Station 58+89 to Station 68_15.
  • Schedule III - construct Runway 3 holding bay.

Specific elements of work completed on this project include:

  • 60,000 TN -  Asphalt produced on-site
  • 50,000 CY - Mass excavation
  • Mass grading of Taxiway Safety Area
  • Airfield drainage piping and structures

  • Demolition, hauling & crushing
  • 36-plus acres of seeding

Grading and Earth Work 
From mass excavation to fine grading CSW offers the full spectrum of earthwork services. Our extensive resources are capable of performing mass excavation at rates of more than 100,000 CY per day, and our utilization of GPS technology can fine-grade projects to the tightest of tolerances. Whether your project calls for scraper spreads, track-hoe excavations, loader excavations, on-road or off-road hauls, we can do it all.


Concrete Construction 
CSW provides a wide variety of concrete construction work including curb and gutters, sidewalks, ramps and loading docks, underground concrete structures, box culverts, catch basins and junction structures, Portland Cement Concrete Paving (PCCP), headwalls, outfalls, and many other custom engineered structures.


Asphalt Paving 
CSW offers traditional cement-based asphalt paving and rubberized asphalt paving. Our in-house paver and traffic control team has been utilized on many projects of varying scope and complexity crossing several markets.
