CSW takes a proactive approach to risk analysis and provides extensive safety training and enforcement for our team members. Within our company CSW also means “Constant Safe Work”. As a core value of the firm, it is instilled in all employees from their first day on the job and is reinforced by our management team daily. To enhance the safety of our team members, crews and general public, we have developed several proactive processes and leading indicators that have delivered tremendous results, these include:
Safety Design Team – analyzes incident trends and develops critical behaviors that we then shape into solid habits.
Critical Behavior Observations (CBO’s) – daily observations by our management, superintendents and Risk and Safety Department to provide immediate team feedback and develop a project Safety Performance Score.
Daily Pre-Task Planning – encourages team involvement prior to every shift and following the lunch break. CSW developed a planning card that incorporates Job Hazard Analysis and reminders to assist the team in planning effective production, quality and safety.
Accountability – The above activities, as well as several other leading indicators, are tracked and weekly performance reports rank the performance of every project and superintendent.
As of June 2013 CSW has worded over 1,326,199 consecutive hours and 1,242 days without a Lost Time Incident.
